Week One at BHBD

Genesis' Blog Post:

Social Media/ Recruitment Manager- Hi my name is Genesis and my position at Big Hair Bigger Dreams is Social Media and Recruitment manager, I take care of our social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, I update our page to let people in on upcoming events we will be attending and events we will be hosting.

What I learned this week: Something I have learned this week is a rigorous lesson in budgeting as well as learning how to communicate to people other than our close peers.

My favorite project this week: A favorite project of mine that I have worked on this week was our budgetting project that consisted alot of hard decision making and quick thinking.

A challenge from the week: This was a challenging piece of our week for me because personally I wasn't the greatest with numbers or finances. This was a nice first week to say the least and I am looking forward to continuing to work with my great co-workers.

Web and Marketing Manager- Hello my name is Jayda and I am the Web and Marketing manager for BHBD. My job is to update the website and the weekly digital newsletter.

What I learned this week: One thing I learned this week was how to budget and prevent shoratges from happening in future events.

My favorite project this week: My favorite project this week was selling products at the 4th of July Safe Holly, Safe Summer We sold some ice-cold lemonade and we learned how to use budgeting skills while buying products.

A challenge this week: A challenge this week was experiencing shortages and figuring out ways to compensate for them.

Ebonne's Blog Post:

Data & Operations Manager- Hi my Name is Ebonne and I am the Data & Operations Manager at Big Hair Bigger Dreams. My job is to make sure everyone in the office is meeting their dealines and that all supplies that are needed are available.

What I learned this week: Something I have learned this week is that it is crucial to have good communications and impressions right from the start otherwise your new coworkers will only see you as you first let off.

My favorite project this week: My favorite project this week was the crafting of our professional inroductions it was embrassing, but very crucial in our jobs.

A challenge from the week: The most challenging piece of the work was to bugdet. I am not well with handling finances. The fact that we only had a certain budget we had to stay with while maximizing profit was so hard. It was a nice first week though. My fellow co- workers are amazing. :)
